This being about 25000 lbs.the injectors are fired by elecricly sensetive crystals the fuel has to pass through very small holes unlike the old fuel injector pum p system the fuel pump does not have to be timed as it is only has to to keep the rail up to pressure the fuel injectors on this system are opperated by electronic pullses it is a common rail system the fuel pump only supplys very high pressure diesel to the rail and any water or dirt in the fuel will block them up so take great care over clean fuel. also replace the fuel filter even if it looks clean. PLEASE HELP BECAUSE I'M CLUELESS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1Īfter such a long standing time I would remove and dismantle the water trap from underneath at the rear of the fuel tank also drain the tank. ![]() I checked the pump mounted on the chassis and fuel is delivered fine and also the red injector lights keep flashing. So i rang a few people and the iveco dealers and they told me to tow it at around 30mph and drop it into 3rd and try starting it that way because there may be some things clogged up after it had been stood for 2 years, but this does not help either it just runs in gear and it does not make the slightest noise like if it wants to start up, so it sounds like a fuel problem. ![]() So I figured out that if I spray some easy start into the air filter and keep spraying it whilst someone turns it over it will keep running from the easy start fluid but as soon as you stop spraying it, it will cut off. So I got it on a diagnostic machine and it showed that there is a problem with the crank shaft sensor and the injector pressure sensor, replaced both but still no luck. Went to start it, but all it does is turns over and wont even try to start( like there is no fuel getting to the injectors) ![]() (i got the standard blue key without immobiliser) Replaced the keys and the ecu and got it all coded up etc. So I got it delivered by a recovery truck. Well I bought it from a company which went bankrupt and it was stood for 2 years before I could buy it. I have recently purchased an iveco daily 2.3 Hpi unijet it's a 53 plate 2003 model.
